Conditions are favourable for the development of squalls with wind gusts up to 50 knots, frequent lightning, hail and poor to very poor visibility in thunderstorms heavy at times. A line of thunderstorms is expected to develop late this evening and track eastward over Lake of the Woods. ### Poor to very poor visibility may contribute to voyage delays and make marine navigation hazardous. Severe Thunderstorm Watch

Conditions are favourable for the development of dangerous thunderstorms that may be capable of producing damaging wind gusts, damaging hail and torrential rain. Hazards: Wind gusts up to 100 kilometres per hour. Local rainfall up to 50 millimetres. Up to ping pong sized hail. When: Late this evening until overnight. Additional information: Scattered thunderstorms developing ahead of a cold front will move into the regions late this evening. ### Utility outages are possible. Severe thunderstorm watches are issued when conditions are favourable for the development of thunderstorms capable of producing damaging hail, wind or rain.
